UT Quality/UT Quality USA servicesServices/Integrity & corrosion mapping
Once the line is exposed, the question is how much wall is left and where. UT Quality USA does the NDT portion of the dig: phased array corrosion mapping across the area, remaining wall thickness and pit depth measured and recorded, and a C-scan map of where the loss runs and how deep it goes, documented for your integrity and engineering team.
Phased array corrosion mapping run across the exposed area of the pipe, not scattered spot readings.
Ultrasonic thickness measured across the mapped area and recorded against the pipe’s nominal wall.
Individual pits measured with a pit gauge where depth matters as much as extent.
A colour-mapped, encoded record of the scanned area: where the wall loss is, how far it runs and how deep it goes.
Detailed 3D surface images of the external surface, with wall-loss data, volumetric loss and cross-sectional profiles.
Encoded data that can be reopened and reviewed, not just a number written on the pipe.
UT Quality USA performs the NDT portion of the dig and reports what the scan measures: remaining wall, pit depth and the mapped extent of the loss.
The engineering assessment, the remaining-strength work and the repair decision belong to your integrity and engineering team. Tell us what they need and the deliverable is formatted to suit.
Phased array ultrasonic corrosion mapping, run over the exposed area of the pipe, with ultrasonic thickness across the mapped area and pit-gauge readings where they are called for.
The C-scan corrosion map of the scanned area plus the recorded remaining wall and pit depths, documented for your integrity program and the repair decision.
No. We supply the measured data and the map; the assessment and remaining-strength work stay with the operator and their engineering.
The NDT portion: corrosion mapping, ultrasonic wall thickness, pit-depth gauging and the documented findings. Excavation, coating work, the engineering assessment and the repair decision stay with the operator and their contractors.
Technicians are certified Level I, II and III to our written practice under ASNT SNT-TC-1A / ANSI/ASNT CP-189, with Level III oversight of procedures and interpretation.
Tell us the line, the pipe size and wall, and what the dig is for, and a UT Quality representative will follow up.
