UT Quality USA is a union nondestructive testing contractor working across energy and industrial construction — from cross-country pipeline spreads to plant sites, fabrication shops and data center campuses. The methods and the written practice are the same everywhere; what changes is the code the specification names and the way the crew is staffed. These pages set out what we inspect in each.

Technicians are certified Level I, II and III to our written practice under ASNT SNT-TC-1A / ANSI/ASNT CP-189, with Level III oversight of procedures and interpretation. The reporting is the same whether the weld is on a firing line or in a fabrication bay.
The mobilization that brings automated ultrasonics or radiography can bring magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic and visual testing, and positive material identification, on the same job.
Work in Canada is run by UT Quality Canada, a QCCC signatory contractor, to CSA Z662 and the applicable Canadian standards. Offshore and spoolbase work is run by the open-shop UT Quality Offshore division.
