Production work is a lot of small scopes spread over a lot of ground: flowlines, pad piping, batteries and the vessels between them. UT Quality USA inspects that welding to API 1104 and the ASME B31 code the specification names, with radiography and the conventional methods on the same mobilization.
The scope UT Quality USA crews are asked for on this work.
Girth and tie-in welds on flowlines and interconnecting lines, inspected to API 1104 by radiography or by the method the specification names.
Wellhead, header, manifold and utility piping at pads and tank batteries, inspected to ASME B31.3 or the governing B31 code.
Shell, head and nozzle welds on production pressure equipment, inspected to ASME Section VIII.
Welded storage tanks and the structural steel, skids and supports around them, inspected by UT thickness, MT, PT and VT.
Automated ultrasonic testing, phased array and TOFD, semi-automated ultrasonics, radiography by film, computed, digital and real-time methods, and the four conventional methods — magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic and visual testing — plus positive material identification. UT Quality’s automated ultrasonic system is proprietary, designed and built in-house.
Inspected and reported to the code your specification names: API 1104 for girth welds, ASME B31.4 and B31.8 for liquid and gas systems, ASME B31.3 for facility process piping, ASME Section VIII for pressure equipment and AWS D1.1 for structural steel.
Scattered scopes reward a contractor who can size a crew to the job and still report everything to one written practice. Radiographic, ultrasonic and conventional capability travel together, so one visit can cover the line, the pad and the vessels.
Yes. Flowline and interconnect girth welds are inspected to API 1104 by radiography or the specified method.
Where the schedule allows, yes — the same crews carry radiographic, ultrasonic and conventional capability.
Yes. Separators, treaters and other production pressure equipment are inspected to ASME Section VIII.
Welded storage tanks and the surrounding structural steel are inspected by ultrasonic thickness, magnetic particle, penetrant and visual methods.
Technicians are certified Level I, II and III to our written practice under ASNT SNT-TC-1A / ANSI/ASNT CP-189, with Level III oversight of procedures and interpretation. UT Quality USA is a union operation.
